All Set for Miss Mabalacat 2010

XEVERA-MABALACAT – Six days from today the yearly celebrated town fiesta in this 1^st class town shall be held on February 2, 2010.  It features once again the search for Miss Mabalacat 2010 and the 3^rd Caragan Festival in a month-long celebration.

                The Honorable Mayor Boking Morales convened the 2010 Mabalacat Fiesta Executive Committee after issuing the Executive Order No. 001, series of 2010.

                The Fiesta Executive Committee is chaired by Mr. Deng Pangilinan, co-chaired by Jun Magbalot.  Committee members are Ms. Mhel Sotto (School District Supervisor), Mr. Rosan Paquia, (acting Municipal Administrator, ABC President  Jeng Yumul, SK President Migs Morales, Jess (Big J) Dungca, Dir Dally Santos of the Mabalacat Water District, Clarence Flores, Gerry Dayrit and PSupt Rolly Mendoza.

The chairman of Miss Mabalacat beauty tilt Jun Magbalot said the pre-pageant is on going as of this writing at the Marque Mall and the coronation night will be held at 8pm on January 30 at Xevera Plaza in Barangay Tabun, this municipality.  Jun Magbalot is also the organizer and chairman of the Mabalacat Center for the Arts, United Artist Movement.  He said “the United Artist Movement will render their numbers during intermission both on the pre-pageant and during the coronation night”.

                The Caragan Festival is slated on February 26, and other activities include the bike fest, trade fair and cultural night and singing idol.

                The caragan festival on its 3^rd year aims to preserve the rich cultural heritage of the Mabalaqueños.  It could be recalled that Mabalacat was led by a chieftain named Caragan, an Ethnic Aeta.  Most of the Aetas now are living in Barangays Calumpang ang Marcos Village.
